PPG Aerospace has a great career opportunity for an Operations Supervisor at our CMS Division in Mount Laurel, NJ. As an Operations Supervisor, you will have leadership responsibility for implementing company strategies that drive operational excellence and deliver sales growth across all key product segments in the region. Reporting to the CMS Regional Manager, the Operations Supervisor will oversee Material handlers, shipping and receiving and drivers. Key Responsibilities Become focal for offsite folks regarding shipments due out, emergent shipments and any issues that need attention Oversee projects for the site Identify and clean up items in improper system locations Work with warehouse team on cycle counting Handling of scrap material onsite and work with ICDC group regarding expired materials that need to be dispositioned physically and systematically Work with team for yearly physical inventories Focal for leased truck,uniforms and other vendors Plan and establish work schedules and staffing requirements to improve efficiency. Review and approval of timecards in Kronos system Lead the deployment of resources and work towards continuous development of team skills and leader standard work Partner with ASC network Lean leadership to analyze, identify, and implement opportunities to improve production processes to meet lead time reduction goals, including leading Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 5S management for the site Engage with employees, supervisors, and management daily to support an operational excellence culture through communication, influence, and collaboration Supervise Environmental Health & Safety for the site and provide a safe and healthy work environment by maintaining PPG standards for employee and community safety, health, and local regulatory and environmental issues Prime success factors include the ability to influence, be creative, provide unique points of view, and promote accountability Qualifications Requires at least four (4) years of supervisory experience in operations Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree is required, Master's degree preferred Knowledge of ERP systems Knowledge of Lean continuous improvement practices with Six Sigma certification preferred Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000 Depending on experience plus performance bonus About us: Here at PPG we make it happen, and we seek candidates of the highest integrity and professionalism who share our values, with the commitment and drive to strive today to do better than yesterday - everyday.
