Georgia-Pacific has an exciting opportunity for a talented Automation Site Leader at our Palatka, Florida Consumer Products manufacturing operation. The Automation Site Leader will work closely with multiple paper making, converting, and shipping groups to ensure the reliability and availability of the AGV fleet and Smartbox Palletizers. Our Team The Palatka mill and its products are a critical part of GP's Consumer Products portfolio, including high-profile Angel Soft, Quilted Northern, Brawny, and Sparkle brands. GP has invested heavily at Palatka in recent years to deliver competitive tissue and towel products including a new towel paper machine. The mill also features two Kraft paper machines and recent investments in a state-of-the-art Daily Operations Center (DOC) - a singular control hub for our asset monitoring. With more than 950 team members, the mill is highly strategic operation for GP and a foundational part of the local community and economy. Located 45 minutes west of the beautiful beaches of St. Augustine, the mill is nestled in outskirts of the growing city of Palatka. Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, and Gainesville are approximately one hour away, and Orlando is only two hours! What You Will Do * Create a safe environment where the team has no significant incidents involving Health and Safety * Promote environmental stewardship with the team where no significant environmental incidents occur. * Lead and foster a culture that values risk identification and personal ownership, through a principle-based approach and manage all TRAX items for the department. * Advance the application of PBM 5 Dimensions * Interface with multiple paper making, converting, and shipping groups to ensure internal customers are unaffected by automation and effectively own ALL automated material movements. * Assure RREs are aligned to with all employees: Automation Engineer, Automation techs, and AGV techs. * Lead/Coach/Mentor automation team to understand and impact automation availability and reliability. * Lead/Coach/Mentor Automation Engineers to grow capabilities of shifts through training guides, troubleshooting, Master Tech skills, etc. * Execute, support, and transform the Asset Strategy of the AGV fleet through OBWS and foster principled entrepreneurship to continuously improve. * Help develop systems and processes the improve long-term on-shift knowledge and track their effectiveness. * Find opportunities for continued growth of automation in the mill and use data to help coordinate improvements. * Continually search for new products and give input to viability and sustainability with regards to automation (impact of new product portfolios, etc.) * Track key performance metrics such as vehicle uptimes, fault counts, and mission time to ensure maximum availability of the fleet and work to improve interpretation of data. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering OR ten (10) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing/automated operation. * Five (5) or more years of experience working within an automated system. * Experience managing projects with a variety of size and scope. * Experience using Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Experience as a direct supervisor What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering * Two (2) or more years of experience LEADING in an automated system. * Experience applying reliability concepts as they relate to asset strategies. * Knowledge of Elettric80 vehicles or systems Hiring Philosophy All Koch companies value diversity of thought, perspectives, aptitudes, experiences, and backgrounds.
