Job Overview:

The Channel Marketing Specialist is a uniquely qualified professional having experience in B2B distribution channels or industrial markets, as well as exceptional communication, presentation, and business acumen skills. The Channel Marketing Specialist will aid in driving the overall business results of these channel partners. This role will be responsible for 1st level contact with key sales opportunities and will engage with the outside sales team to drive business results.

Responsibilities:


  • Sales Support: Provide support and assistance to field sales personnel including application guidance, user support, training and offering positioning support for all products offered through assigned channels. Support includes both complete unit and aftermarket parts & accessories and technical specs as well as direct interaction with all Channel Partners' designated personnel

  • Account Management Support: Provide high level of account management to defined customers as well as support National Account Managers on day-to-day needs. Support activities will include product offering recommendations, partner cost evaluation, sales collateral creation, and participation in line reviews and trade shows

  • Content Management: Serve as the key responsible individual for ensuring assigned channel partners have up to date and enhanced content including pricing, product data and specs, product images, collateral and videos, including marketing materials and training as well as any additional resources requested, Write copy for ads and other digital marketing content.

  • e-Commerce Support: Serve as the key individual responsible for ensuring assigned e-Commerce channel partners are adequately supported through key initiatives. Activities include content updates, maintaining e-Commerce Channel Partner Offerings, and execution of e-Commerce programs. Perform periodic reviews of e-Commerce channel partner website to ensure Ingersoll Rand offerings are optimized within channel partner web space and e-commerce channels. Manage and leverage resources on partner relationship management platforms/portals.

  • Growth Program Execution: Deploy and manage targeted promotional campaigns or programs aimed at improving performance in end-markets and/or channel partner behavior and attainment. Assist with development and deployment of Distributor Value Packages (DVP) within retail, specialty (National Industrial Supply and Vehicle Services), and eComm channel partners as assigned.

  • Channel Liaison: Conduct monthly reporting on sales activity through assigned channels including sales performance, marketing campaign and promotion results, and overall channel trends. Monitor current market dynamics within assigned channels and communicate back through marketing and sales. Manage and leverage resources on partner relationship management platforms.

  • Channel Partner Engagement and Product Support: For products and offerings commercialized through assigned channels, execute on product commercialization including communications, product loads, training for new offerings, and support channel consumer training events.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product Management, Master Data Management, Operations, Sales, and Sales Enablement - Includes, but not limited to Oracle/SAP support, account setup/changes, pricing submissions, assist with the development of channel marketing tools and product launch materials, day to day collaboration to best serve our channel partners and commercial customers.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Engineering or Business required.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, performing basic data analysis tasks, such as creating charts and graphs, and using pivot tables.

  • Intermediate Excel Skills: Advanced Formulas and Functions - Using more complex formulas and functions, such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, IF, AND, OR, etc. Data Analysis

  • Data Validation - Using data validation to ensure data accuracy.

  • Conditional Formatting - Using conditional formatting to highlight specific data patterns.

  • Experience with B2B or B2C distribution.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a channel marketing role or other related experience.

  • Understands and communicates technical information. Writes and speaks clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.

  • Practices attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees.

  • Effective organizational skills.

  • Problem solving: Demonstrates the ability to identify the most important elements that influence a problem and the ability to work through a series of operations to determine a logical solution. Use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Probes all fruitful sources for answers and does not stop at the first answers.

  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels and functional roles

  • Strong compressed air equipment knowledge, specifically commercial market technologies.

  • Collaborative personality to partner with key stakeholders to find innovative ways to win

  • Broad knowledge of Retail, MRO and e-Commerce strategies.

  • Artificial Intelligence experience a plus



Preferences:


  • Experience with ERP systems preferred, such as SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle NetSuite, etc.

  • E-Commerce and retail experience preferred
