Kalman & Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time CNAL (Commander, Naval Air Forces Atlantic) Analyst for an 18 month assignment in Norfolk, VA. This position entails support for the N4 Desk at CNAL by serving as a Navy Chemical & Biological Defense (CBD) subject matter specialist and will liaise between the NAVSEA CBD Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) Readiness Improvement Program (RIP) and CNAL. The position reports directly to the CBD IPE RIP Program Manager.

Applicants must have a willingness to follow all safety and conduct rules and comply with company policies. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Support Fleet Staffs in accomplishing relevant tasking.
  • Participate in program reviews and planning sessions in support of project evaluations, scope and scheduling initiatives.
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain status reports, analyses and staff documents.
  • Provide support services to review and assist in developing CBD requirements documents, review Joint, Multi-Service and Navy publications including CBR doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures.
  • Provide support services to coordinate Type Commanders, Class Desks, etc. and shall develop and maintain long range target schedules for CBD, Damage Control, and Antiterrorism Afloat support.


Required Education / Qualifications:



  • US citizenship.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, with 3 years of administrative and analytic experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Experience and facility with Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


Preferred Education / Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
  • Experience with appropriate Navy Enlisted Classifications (NECs), or equivalent work experience, including, but not limited to:

    • NEC 4811 - Senior Enlisted Damage Control Program Management and Training Specialist.
    • NEC 9598 - Disaster Preparedness Operations and Training Specialist.


  • Experience and familiarity with CBD equipment.
