We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Geoscience Systems Analyst Advisor in the Rockies. You will join a team focused on supporting upstream geoscience business needs as well as process improvement and automation. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Loading and transferring data between Landmark Openworks/DSG, Petrel/Studio, ArcGIS and other applications
  • Understanding, manipulating, and validating well and production data, log data, core data, and seismic data
  • Generating multi-dimensional maps from raw data to finished product often requiring complex geoprocessing functions and incorporating multiple data sources
  • Strong knowledge of coordinate reference systems, transformations, and spatial positioning
  • Understanding of Python and/or other programming language for scripting
  • Creation and maintenance of enterprise tools including Atlas webmaps and dashboards.
  • Identifying, documenting, and communicating standards and best practices to the Geoscience Tech Support team and participating in knowledge capture and sharing

Qualifications - External

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of twelve years of industry experience
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of petroleum geoscience
  • Strong technical skills in data management
  • Excellent understanding of geoscience and engineering applications
  • Experienced with SQL/scripting and database architecture
  • Familiarity with Spotfire, PowerBI, and Sharepoint
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn quickly, develop automated workflows
  • Innovative thinker with a desire to implement new ideas, processes, and technologies
  • Results-oriented with excellent time management skills and with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborative and a strong team player with effective interpersonal skills
  • Takes initiative for individual and group success, independently tackles problems, and assumes ownership of challenging work or projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively to management and peers
The salary range for this position is:$ 103,200 - $ 141,900 Annual

*Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements may receive consideration for higher-level role given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
