About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Enterprise Information Management team and lead our Report Rationalization efforts. This role involves deep diving into existing legacy reporting, interviewing stakeholders, and developing new data models and dashboards using Power BI and ThoughtSpot. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling, with a preference for experience in ThoughtSpot.

What You Will Do:



  • Report Rationalization:Lead the initiative to analyze and optimize existing legacy reports, identifying redundancies and opportunities for consolidation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Conduct in-depth interviews with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand reporting needs, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Data Modeling:Design and develop robust data models that support efficient and accurate reporting, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Dashboard Development:Create interactive and insightful dashboards using Power BI and ThoughtSpot, providing stakeholders with actionable insights.
  • Technical Guidance:Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and improve BI processes and methodologies, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Innovation:Stay updated with the latest BI tools and technologies, driving innovation and adoption of new solutions within the team.
  • Documentation:Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, dashboards, and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
  • Quality Assurance:Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality BI solutions.
  • Project Management:Manage BI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals and timelines.


What You Will Need:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data modeling and database design.
  • Knowledge of ThoughtSpot is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience with data visualization best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with data governance and data quality management.
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with other BI tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Certification in Power BI or other relevant BI tools.
  • Experience in the financial services or healthcare industry

Salary range: $86,259.86 - $159,308.33

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
