SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

The IT Change Management Process Owner is a leader that plays a vital role in process definition, oversight and continuous improvement to defined metrics. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a deep understanding of change management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices. The Change Management Process Owner is responsible for ensuring changes are implemented effectively with minimal disruption, by defining clear guidelines, managing approvals, and collaborating with the stakeholders to facilitate smooth change implementation of Information Technology and Information Security managed applications and services. The individual will support and partner with the Risk team and Internal Auditors to ensure Change Management practice is being adhered to. The individual must possess strong facilitation, problem solving, analytical and time management skills. It is the Change Management Process Owner responsibility to monitor process execution, ensure seamless ITSM integrations, and assess the overall effectiveness and efficiency of Change Management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Process Ownership:

  • Define, implement, and maintain the organization's change management process, ensuring alignment with ITIL or other relevant frameworks.

  • Serve as the primary authority on all change management-related activities and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Carry out Change Management objectives to ensure changes made in production are done so minimizing risk and cost, and satisfies business deliverable

Governance and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce change management policies, standards, and controls to ensure regulatory and security compliance.

  • Monitor adherence to change management processes across teams and departments, identifying areas for improvement.

Change Planning & Coordination:

  • Coordinate the assessment, prioritization, and scheduling of changes to minimize risk and operational disruption.

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure changes are effectively communicated, planned, and executed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze change metrics, KPIs, and reports to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process optimization.

  • Lead post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of change initiatives and recommend improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the liaison between technical teams, business units, and leadership to ensure smooth execution of changes.

  • Provide training and guidance to teams involved in the change process, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Change Advisory Board (CAB) Management:

  • Organize and lead regular Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring effective review and approval of changes.

  • Facilitate emergency change processes as required, ensuring rapid response while maintaining governance.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: College Degree Preferred, ITIL Certified

  • Experience: 5 + years of IT Experience, preferably in the Change Management arena

    • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) toolsets, preferably ServiceNow

    • Practical experience in ITIL service management functions and processes

    • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and facilitating change in complex, fast-paced environments.

    • Knowledge of risk management and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOX, PCI).

    • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and IT infrastructure.

  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification, Reporting & Metrics

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

  • Required annual compliance training

  • New Employee Orientation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.

In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $94,510.99 - $150,972.31 , actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
