Position Summary:

Join our Vallen Team! We are seeking an analytical Product Data Enrichment Specialist to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality, accuracy, and usability of our product data, while ensuring rigorous data governance and compliance within the Stibo STEP PIM (Product Information Management) system. Your expertise will drive collaboration across cross-functional teams to define and implement best-in-class data standards and enrichment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enhance product data by incorporating and validating information from various sources, including vendors, third-party providers, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with category and product managers, as well as marketing and digital teams, to seamlessly integrate relevant data across various platforms.
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies and inconsistencies by conducting regular data reviews and audits. Identify the underlying causes of these issues and implement corrective actions to prevent their recurrence in the future.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain data governance policies to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across the PIM system.
  • Create hierarchy levels that are clearly defined to ensure products are organized in a logical sequence.
  • Create and manage data attributes and values that are standardized across hierarchy levels by conducting thorough research and aligning with industry standards.
  • Perform regular data audits to identify and address data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of product information.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate data management tools and systems, provide recommendations for enhancements, and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop and implement comprehensive data quality metrics within the PIM system to monitor and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of product information across various website platforms.
  • Create and maintain SOPs for data enrichment and governance processes.
  • Create detailed vendor user guides providing clear and concise instructions.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training sessions on data management tools and processes, ensuring that all team members and vendors are proficient in their use.

Job Qualifications:

  • Solid analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep understanding of data governance framework and standards.
  • Proficient with data enrichment, data management, and data stewardship.
  • Experience with product information management (PIM) systems, preferably Stibo STEP.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Knowledge of Ecommerce and SEO best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable and solid team player.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of the MRO industry.
  • Power Query and automation proficiency.
