You will be leading, overseeing and managing the daily functions of our Deposit Operations department. You'll be working closely with the Director on projects and assisting with monthly reporting, annual department business and marketing plans. Ready to learn more? Your day might include:
- Assuming responsibility and effectively managing critical functions, department processing tasks and daily operations of the Deposit Operations Department
- Maintaining knowledge to respond to department related inquiries as well as effective and thorough investigative functions
- Overseeing the ACH and Share Draft Operations
- Overseeing WSECU's consumer and business-related deposit services and operations, including specialty accounts such as Trust, Estate, IRA, and Health Savings accounts
- Overseeing the handling and processing of legal requests related to consumer and business accounts, including Levies, Garnishments, and legal requests for records
- Ensuring annual tax reporting to the IRS for all member accounts is maintained, including the collection and payment of backup withholding
- Ensuring Department of Revenue's required "abandoned or unclaimed' property processes for WSECU account holders are performed annually
- Ensuring department written procedures and applicable department risk assessments are adequately maintained. Developing new procedures and/or risk assessments as needed to support department operating functions
- Responding to escalated department -related service concerns and member complaints
- Technical lead and/or oversight for Deposit Operations initiatives, projects or business objectives related to supporting WSECU's consumer and business-related deposit services and operations, legal requests, and mail processing
- Ensuring quality control and adequate testing have been conducted to ensure product stability, performance, compliance, and operational standards are met
- Performing research and development of Deposit Operations tools, products, services, and related programs while providing recommendation on new products and/or enhancements with focused opportunities for product growth and digital options
What you bring to the team:
- Five (5) years' experience with a credit union or financial institution operating areas
- Four (4) years' experience directly related to Consumer, Business and Specialty Accounts such as Trust, Estate, IRA and Health Savings accounts, Legal processing programs and operational functions
- Three (3) years' direct leadership experience, with experience leading staff in a hybrid or remote work environment
- Extensive knowledge and application of regulatory compliance in all aspects of the Electronic Services functions. Knowledge of regulations to include Reg D, CC, Z and E
- Ability to research and interpret technical, professional, business, and financial records from multiple sources
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively utilize techniques to derive data as needed from WSECU's data depositories and external sources and evaluate income and expense projections accurately
- Advanced competencies with Microsoft Office Products, Share Point and PDF technologies
Bonus points if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in business management
- Knowledge and experience of project management principles and practices Experiences with Symitar
- Experience working within the ACH Network Payment System including ACH RDFI and ODFI transaction flow and clearing process
Competitive base pay: $77,888.99 - $107,433.08 annually, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package
- The target starting pay for this position is $77,888.99 - $89,527.57 annually, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
- The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
Where we're located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite at least two (2) occasions per week. When you'd work: Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, full-time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this exempt position. Working from home/hybrid requirements:
