Responsible for the Gas Operations business activity support of SAP CRB and related systems with respect to device management and field activities. Works closely with gas division operations staff to support the systems related functions of work management, meter reading, and new construction.
Serves as liaison between Gas Operations and Billing and Customer Service departments. Works closely with Billing and Customer Service departments to refine processes and resolve issues. Facilitates the optimization of operational performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and technology. Serves as a liaison between Gas Operations and those who develop systems and provide technical support for systems, namely COE staff, IT, and software vendors. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Provides day-to-day support and critical issue resolution to operations personnel for CRB Device Management activities including, but not limited to: meter reading activities, work order and contract creations, device management support, meter work, dunning activity, and device related regulatory issues.
- Tasks to be performed include manual corrections related to:
- Gas Meter and Gas ERT installations, removals, and reversals
- Gas Device grouping and ungrouping
- Manual Meter disconnections and reconnections
- Gas rate data updates
- Service Notification corrections, re-processing, and reporting
- Meter Routing and CRB MRU changes
- Coordinates Gas Operations' concerns with Customer Service, Billing, and other CRB teams; develops and implements cross functional process improvements.
- Creates and tracks CRB Center of Excellence (COE) related requests and incidents for Gas Operations as required.
- Formulates and defines scope and objectives for assigned projects. Leads or participates on software design and process improvement projects. Performs technical assignments in support of special projects and testing efforts.
- Develops and monitors controls related to work management, meter reading, new construction, and Gas Device CRB data integrity.
- Aids in the development of training programs, end-user documentation, and materials related to supported software applications and business processes; facilitates both formal and informal training.
What We're Looking For Must Haves:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position.
- Experience must include supporting a SAP CRB landscape in a regulated utility environment.
- Demonstrated industry knowledge of gas operations work management, new construction and meter reading.
- Demonstrated success in providing end-user support and process analysis.
- Must have solid interpersonal and communication skills to build and foster relationships with gas operations and inter-departmental clients.
- Knowledge of end-user support requirements and process analysis skills related to CRB work management and meter reading functionality.
- Knowledge of work flows in applicable systems with ability to understand and document baseline test results.
- Proficient with MS Office, SAP BO/BW, SAP CRM, SAP ISU and PragmaCad systems.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, MIS, Engineering or associated discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in SAP CRB system design and support.
- Demonstrated experience in systems training.
- Demonstrated experience in meter reading system design and support.
- Standard Query Language (SQL), report development skills (SQL/Oracle/Access), Meter Reading System skills (routing, sequencing).
Working Conditions
Some extended working hours and overnight travel required. The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a Baseline Medical Examination as part of the pre-employment screening once an offer has been accepted.
