About the Role: In this role as a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will: Front-End Development
- Design, build, and maintain the React-based web application at scale.
- Implement user interfaces using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS to ensure performant, intuitive, and responsive experiences.
Performance & Optimization
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize for speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot complex front-end issues and provide robust solutions
Collaboration & Leadership
- Serve as a lead on front-end projects, guiding junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional partners.
- Contribute to technical design decisions, ensuring code quality and best practices.
AI Integration
- Work alongside AI/ML teams to integrate large language models and other AI capabilities into the front-end, enhancing functionality and user experience.
UI/UX Excellence
- Apply strong design sensibilities to deliver polished, accessible, and user-centric interfaces.
- Iterate quickly based on feedback from internal stakeholders and end users.
About You: You are a fit for a Senior Frontend Engineer if your background includes: Experience & Skills
- 5+ years building React-based web applications at scale.
- Expertise in React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Next.js.
- Proven track record creating highly interactive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Experience building new products or features from 0 to 1 or from ideation to release.
- Excellent debugging skills and an eye for performance optimization.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Mindset & Approach
- Passion for UI/UX and product design-enjoy refining details that matter to users.
- A flexible, adaptable attitude, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Bonus Points
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a startup or similar fast-paced setting.
- Expertise in interfaces that contain Chatbot based tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), machine learning, or AI-powered tools would be very useful.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $101,640 - $188,760.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $88,200 - $163,800.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
