Sr. Manager, Software Project Management Excellence

As a Sr. Software Project Manager, you will be the bridge between our non-technical stakeholders and our talented developers. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, allocate and redeploy resources, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Collaborate closely to inform our software features, roadmaps, and overall product strategy. Feature Prioritization and Road mapping: Help prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility. Develop clear and concise roadmaps for each project, ensuring alignment with our overall product vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and mentor a team of software developers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Manage all phases of programs, including planning, execution, stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and data-driven improvements, while upholding Product Excellence values, Product, and brand trust.
  • Dive into a highly technical space (Visualization, Digital, Lazer, Firmware, Host, etc.), and gain an understanding of the underlying technologies.
  • Serve as the central point of ownership for project and program status, proactively communicating progress, dependencies, risks, and issues to executive leadership, stakeholders, and customer groups while fostering strong relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Software Leads and ATPLs/ATPMs, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Analyze and contribute to project and business requirements based on product team milestones and priority.
  • Actively participate in Agile Scrum team activities including Sprint Planning, Grooming, Scrum, Reviews and Retrospectives
  • Be a technologist and work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing and performing assigned tasks within deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • *Experience: 5+ years of experience with project management, business analysis, or a related role.
  • Tools: Experience with project management tools and software, such as Jira or Confluence.
  • Certifications: Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, CSPO).
