Position title: Monterey Bay Area Mathematics Project Associate Director Salary range:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. A reasonable estimate for this position is an hourly rate of $29.81 - $39.10 (based on an annual salary range $62,236 - $81,633). Percent time:
Part-time, 53.75 % time. Anticipated start:
As soon as possible after the initial review of applications. Position duration:
Initial appointment is part-time through June 30, 2025, with the possibility of reappointment. Should the hiring unit propose reappointment; a review to assess performance will be conducted. Reappointment is also contingent upon the availability of funding. MBAMP provides professional development for K-12 mathematics teachers across Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties. MBAMP serves Region 5B of the California Subject Matter Projects - a statewide effort. Through events such as summer institutes and a community math teacher circle, MBAMP brings together mathematicians, teachers, and administrators. Summary of Duties:
Additionally, the associate director will also work with the UCSC Cal Teach program, which connects current UCSC undergraduate students with in-service K-12 teachers. This will include the following activities.
