Imaging Maintenance Training and Readiness (IMTR) Representative

Imaging Maintenance Training and Readiness (IMTR) RepresentativeJob Description:

IMTRs provide direct maintenance training support to maintainers on the waterfront at US Navy Submarine ports. IMTRs provide Dockside Differences Training (DDT) for all submarine platforms undergoing system modernizations, and provide Dockside Refresher Training (DRT), as well as support fleet requests for over-the-shoulder maintenance training.

The ideal candidate possesses detailed knowledge of submarine imaging systems as installed on all platforms, communicates effectively, and can interface with all levels of Navy submarine imaging maintenance infrastructure. This includes all levels of personnel from the Commanding Officer to the most junior maintainer, and extends to Navy Program Office, LM Program Office, Tenders, Squadrons, etc.

Imaging Maintenance Training and Readiness (IMTR) Representative Required Tasks:

  • Provide direct waterfront maintenance training to imaging system maintainers.
  • Conduct and support Dockside Differences Training (DDT) and Dockside Refresher Training (DRT).
  • Perform over-the-shoulder training as opportunities are available on-board submarine platforms.
  • Be on-call or proactively work waterfront connections, Squadrons, Leading CPOs to schedule maintenance training opportunities.

Imaging Maintenance Training and Readiness (IMTR) Representative Required Skills:

  • Must be able to conduct Navy maintenance training, ideally qualified as Navy Instructor with NEC 9502.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of imaging systems on submarine platforms and legacy systems.
  • Must have ability to maintain proficiency as an imaging technical expert with the ability to impart knowledge, skills, and understanding of system maintenance to the US Navy personnel.
  • Must be an excellent public speaker, able to communicate with people at varying professional levels.
  • Must be able to complete all administrative and reporting tasks on time.

Imaging Maintenance Training and Readiness (IMTR) Representative Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Minimum of five years professional experience, or equivalent imaging systems operations, maintenance, and training experience.
  • Position requires a moderate level of travel (25% to35%).
  • Familiarity with Navy/Submarine operations is desirable.
  • Proactive/self-starter.
  • Task driven with ability to work independently.
