Site Reliability Engineer Intern

As an AI/LLM Slack Bot Development Intern, you'll be instrumental in crafting intelligent Slack bots and automation solutions. You'll leverage cutting-edge AI and Large Language Models to design and deploy bots that streamline workflows, enhance communication, and automate tasks. This includes implementing natural language processing for conversational interactions, integrating with APIs for data access, and developing automation scripts to improve efficiency. These solutions will directly contribute to saving hundreds of hours of manual labor for engineering teams.

You'll collaborate across teams to gather requirements, test solutions, and iterate based on user feedback, contributing to the development of practical AI applications within our organization.

Your role will involve exploring and integrating various AI/LLM platforms, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field. You'll assist in preparing documentation and presentations, and engage with users to identify pain points and areas for improvement. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building AI-driven tools within a collaborative environment, focusing on delivering tangible results that enhance productivity and communication through innovative Slack bot solutions.

This position in an individual contributor role reporting to Director, Software Engineering.

Responsibility

• Develop and deploy intelligent Slack bots using AI and Large Language Models
• Implement Natural Language Processing (NLP) for interactive and conversational bot experiences
• Integrate Slack bots with various APIs to enable data access and functionality
• Write and maintain automation scripts to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and user feedback
• Conduct thorough testing and iterate on bot solutions to ensure optimal performance
• Create and maintain clear documentation for bot development and implementation
• Present findings and project updates to stakeholders through presentations
• Identify user pain points and propose innovative Slack bot solutions to address them
• Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and project management
• Employ PowerShell scripting for automation tasks and system integration within the Slack bot environment

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Basic

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Expected graduation in December 2025 or May/June 2026
• Passion for technology with a focus on creating intuitive and scalable solutions, utilizing modern LLM and AI systems
• Knowledge or Experience with programming languages such as Python and NodeJS

Preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Security and Cloud technologies
• Familiarity with Slack and SlackBot builder technologies

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $39.00/hour - $50.00/hour

Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $38.00/hour - $44.00/hour
