Co-Op Program:

Since 2014, the McWane Ductile Ohio Co-Op program has filled over 100 positions, and 8 Co-Ops have accepted full-time positions. In addition, there are also possible full-time opportunities with other McWane Divisions throughout the US, and globally as well.

Students in our Co-Op program will gain valuable hands-on experience in all facets of manufacturing and operations in a Foundry Environment. The program fosters personal development and you will learn about leadership competencies through training, networking, and coaching. A blend of On-The-Floor and In-Office work assignments will help the applicant develop a wide range of experiences in:

  • Project Management - where you lead and see projects through to completion
  • Problem Solving - define problems, determine cause, and develop and implement solutions
  • Real world challenges that all businesses face and are important to understand
  • Interacting across all levels of the organization

Note: There are opportunities to do double-semester Co-Op

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a student to work with our Maintenance and Engineering team. The student should be prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of maintenance and inventory management systems. As a valued member of the team, the student will have the opportunity to work directly with maintenance technicians, supervisor, and management. McWane's goal is to contribute to the student's development, as well as providing an opportunity for the student to work in a business environment within the foundry industry. This position will report to the Plant Engineer.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Organize data dump from CMMS into 365 Load Sheet
  • Organize data dump from ERP into 365 Load Sheet
  • Use Microsoft excel to compare data from each system
  • Scrub/Clean data for 365 Load Sheets
  • Develop Functional Location Drill Down Structure Load Sheets for Assets and Locations
  • Review PM data in CMMS for accuracy and make corrections based on technician's feedback
  • Optimize asset BOM's based on technician feedback sheets
  • Create inventory item numbers from master data sheets
  • Add inventory items to Item Master and Assets BOM's
  • File management and documentation
  • Assist assignment leader with day-to-day activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, & PowerPoint Required
Qualifications

Pursuing BS in Business, Engineering, or Science

Minimum of 1 semester of classes or enrollment in College Credit Plus program
