Job Description

The Corporate Development Analyst will provide support for Rockwell Automation's mergers and acquisitions activities. You will provide financial analysis support in critical growth areas of value creation from acquisitions and venture investing for the corporate development team. Leading the development and monitoring of quantitative and qualitative performance indicators, you will work with business leaders to increase acquisition value creation success and assure accurate reporting. Also, you will be responsible for financial modeling support and analysis related to venture investing which includes percentage ownership analysis, valuation estimates, and data needed for executive reviews.

You will also help support identification and evaluation of acquisition opportunities, performing valuation, conducting industry research, conducting competitive analysis, and managing transactions, among other corporate development activities on a global basis. You will work directly with business leaders and functional leaders within the company and target companies, external legal advisors, investment banks, and other parties in the broader M&A and venturing ecosystems. You will report to our Manager Corporate Development.

• Build financial models, perform valuation that includes DCF, comparable public companies and precedent transactions
• Help develop growth strategy and business case development by collaborating with Rockwell leaders
• Support value creation/integration leader with pre-closing integration planning and post-close tracking of financial performance, synergies and other integration goals working in collaboration with finance and other functional leads
• Manage quarterly acquisition reviews and historical acquisitions performance tracking
• Develop standardized work and processes for venture investments including valuation assessments and performance monitoring.
• Prepare needed analyses and data for venture advisory council meetings and investment decision reviews
• Track performance of venture investments
• Support other types of transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
• Prepare company profiles
• Conduct industry benchmarking, competitive intelligence and market analysis related to value creation and venturing activities
• Provide other administrative support including virtual data room management, 3rd party database contract management, and NDAs

• Bachelor's degree
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related business field
• 3+ years of experience within corporate development, business development, mergers and acquisitions, or venture investing
• Project management experience
• Experience building relationships with other departments and teams
• Financial analysis experience
