Job Summary The Chargeback Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support and managing all aspects of the assigned Wholesaler/Distributor accounts. This will include the processing of chargeback claims which requires analyzing and interpreting all validation errors utilizing an array of databases and systems to determine final disposition of claims that meet contractual terms. The Chargeback Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative and productive relationships with both internal and external partners. The Chargeback Analyst is responsible for providing insight that supports reconciliation of Wholesaler chargeback deductions. The Chargeback Analyst will prepare and summarize chargeback claim data analysis to identify validation error trends and communicate opportunities for discrepancy resolution. The Chargeback Analyst is responsible for assisting with Chargeback Team Training and is expected to follow all Department Policies and Procedures.

This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office 3 days a week.

Salary Range: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour.

  • Processing of chargeback claims which requires analysis and interpretation of validation errors to resolve and verification of calculations before determining final dispostion. Final disposition requires key decision making and will result in either approval of credit or claim denial with justification.
  • Utilizes wholesaler collaboration calls to further develop a productive relationship with which results in resolution of trending chargeback issues.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of chargeback submissions received and ensure timely and complete responses for all claims that meet contractual obligations.
  • Extracts data, perform analysis and provide actionable insight on trends of wholesaler accounts over prior submission periods and sales history for review by Chargeback Manager.
  • Extracts data, perform analysis chargeback claim history and provide actionable insight that support the reconciliation of open chargeback deduction balances.
  • Extract, prepare and summarize ad hoc chargeback detail reports that can be used to identify internal issues and promote collaboration with supporting departments.
  • Trains users, problem solves functionality issues, executes functionality testing and provides department expertise on Chargeback functionality within Model N system.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with both Contracts, Membership and Other Internal Support Departments and Key Wholesaler Contacts through excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work collectively with department team members in identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements that improve operational efficiency and/ or reduce chargeback discrepancies.
  • Updates SOPs as needed and utilizes chargeback expertise to identify enhancements.
  • Analyze, interpret and summarize large data sets using Excel and/ or other software applications that translates into accurate and actionable information for Chargeback Team Lead and Manager.
  • Completes work according to Fresenius Kabi Chargeback Department Policies and Procedures and other applicable SOP.
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 1+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or related field experience required.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Windows-based programs with solid navigational skills.
  • Intermediate to advance Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • SAP 6.0 experience preferred
  • Model N experience preferred, or equivalent ERP system experience required.
  • Accounts receivable and data analysis experience required.
  • Pharmaceutical chargeback / contract experience desired.
  • Experience collaborating directly with large and complex wholesaler / distributor accounts is desired.
  • A strong understanding of general accounting required.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • The ability to work in a complex and changing environment with minimal supervision, make independent decisions and work within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to initiate complex analysis, manage details and communicate results from a strategic perspective.
  • Demonstrate ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Must exercise good judgment and possess excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
