Genesis10 is currently seeking a OpenShift Platform Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Concord, CA. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Architect, design, and engineer solutions with a focus on the OpenShift container platform Lead the design and implementation of a migration strategy to Kubernetes aligned with enterprise goals and best practices Ensure scalable, secure, and highly available application deployments using CI/CD tools such as UrbanCode Deploy, Harness, Jenkins, and Artifactory Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to meet platform requirements Implement automation for deployment, monitoring, and scaling using tools like Terraform and Vault Set up monitoring/alerting systems and troubleshoot platform issues as needed Provide documentation and best practices related to Kubernetes and OpenShift Mentor teams on Kubernetes adoption and platform optimization Collaborate closely with platform engineering and development teams to guide applications through their cloud transformation Drive platform and infrastructure architecture for both modern cloud-native and legacy applications Evaluate technologies and develop best practices that support automation, resiliency, and scalability Lead capacity planning and provide forecasts for application infrastructure needs Serve as a technical resource and consultant for strategic infrastructure decisions Define and align technical roadmaps with business strategy and enterprise architecture Required Qualifications: 10+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent (training, military experience, education) 7+ years of DevSecOps and hands-on engineering experience with the OpenShift Container Platform Strong background in infrastructure design for high-volume, multi-tier applications Expertise in cloud computing, PaaS, microservices, and containerization Familiarity with CI/CD, SRE principles, and DevOps practices Experience with cloud technologies like VPC, IAM, Azure Arc, Google Anthos Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to both technical and business audiences Demonstrated ability to influence leadership and drive technical strategy Background in working with databases (Oracle, PostGres, MSSQL), large datasets, file systems, and object storage Experience with PCF/TAS and Linux VMs Pay Range: $100-110 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
