Job Summary We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) - Benefits & Leave to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of employee benefits programs and leave administration. As a trusted partner, you will ensure regulatory compliance, streamline processes, and champion best practices that enhance employee well-being, engagement, and overall experience. Key Responsibilities Benefits Administration
- Plan Design and Management: Research, design, implement, and maintain competitive employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement plans, and flexible spending accounts.
- Enrollment and Communication: Lead benefit enrollment processes, conduct open enrollment periods, and ensure clear communication about benefits offerings.
- Compliance Oversight: Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, FMLA, COBRA).
- Vendor Management: Support the communication and implementation of vendor updates, plan changes, and annual renewals in collaboration with the broader HR team.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefit records, ensuring timely processing of claims, payments, and transactions.
Leave Administration
- Policy Development & Implementation: Develop and implement clear and consistent leave policies, ensuring compliance with legal requirements (e.g., FMLA, state laws).
- Leave Request Processing: Manage end-to-end leave administration - receive, review, approve/deny, and track leave requests in compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Communication and Support: Serve as a resource for employees and managers on leave processes, eligibility, and policy interpretation.
- Return-to-Work Coordination: Assist with the return-to-work process for employees on leave, ensuring a smooth transition back to work.
General HR Advisor Duties
- Employee Relations: Act as a key point of contact for employee benefits and leave inquiries, providing guidance and conflict resolution.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret and apply company policies and procedures related to benefits and leave, ensuring consistent and fair application
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze program usage and trends to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on evolving industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes affecting benefits and leave administration.
- Collaboration: Work with other HR professionals, managers, and employees to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on benefits and leave administration.
- Strong knowledge of benefits compliance and leave-related laws including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and ACA.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive employee situations with confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
