The Senior Technical Business Analyst provides deliverables across the entire life cycle of a variety of strategic initiatives, analyzes business problems and opportunities, determines business needs, recommends creative solutions, and drives stakeholder engagement. The Senior Technical Business Analyst will work with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) from program initiation through delivery, responsible for business needs analysis, requirements and design, and functional testing. The Senior Technical Business Analyst works very closely with the Business Analyst Team Lead, Other Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Managers, and will have interactions with Executive and Senior Leadership Team and Department Leaders. Key Result Areas:
- Primarily focused on technical projects that require integrations to the Core or other systems that enhance customer and colleague experience.
- Knowledge of cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment and quantification methodologies. Demonstrated ability in the following methods: interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling, business object modeling and user interface design.
- Ability to work independently. Organized with strong time management. Teamwork and Cooperation.
- Responsible for working with complex information systems and developing or modifying existing systems through analysis of business and user needs.
- Build partnerships and serve as the liaison with internal departments on programs to determine business needs and recommend/deliver solutions that provide business value to the organization.
- Ability to present information and influence teams.
- Facilitate strong collaboration across various business stakeholders, end users and departments, ensuring seamless communication and engagement.
- Partner with Project Managers, Product Managers, business stakeholders and SMEs to:
- Elicit, document, validate and manage traceable business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate design workshops to document functional current state/future state workflow diagrams.
- Assist with implementing change management requirements across program delivery stages.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of program functional testing (Component, UAT) to include test plan, test script/test case creation, defect management, testing training and execution with various business line testers.
- Provide regular testing status updates to show transparency and visibility of progress, defect resolution, risks, and items for escalation.
- Mentor and guide business line testers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 8 years' proven experience in a business analysis role, working with business stakeholders/Subject Matter Experts, managing business requirements/design deliverables, and leading functional testing teams, preferably in banking, financial institutions and/or at professional services firms that focus on the financial services industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have a strong command of the English language and strong written and oral skills.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to resolve minor conflicts/issues using different tactics for prior to escalation.
- Experience with technical projects that require integrations to the Core or other systems.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile and Lean Process Improvement techniques.
- Experience working on cross-functional, enterprise-wide delivery programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- CBAP or PBA certification(s) is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of business tools and applications to include MS Office Suite, Visio, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, Copado, Jira.
