The Multimedia Content Producer will be responsible for developing and executing the agency's photo, video, graphics, animation/motion graphics (with ability to create character and location concepts if needed) and other digital content, including live videos, b-roll, weekly recaps, etc. This includes capturing, editing, creating and archiving all content in an accurate and timely manner. Video content is expected to target audiences through various platforms, including CCRC YouTube channel, other social media outlets, Intranet or other internal outlets, to meet project requirements. This position is a critical part of the communications, marketing, and fund development team working to: enhance the overall brand of the agency; introduce and highlight early childhood care and education; and inform/educate parents, families, community influencers and policy makers. The Multimedia Content Producer must also be an imaginative and capable designer with a strong vision to independently produce content from concept to completion.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Within a team environment, this position will perform the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for project coordination for video content, including planning and performing all tasks related to pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery: 70%
    • Determine any pre-production and production needs and specifications; coordinate pre-production and production planning activities; communicate technical information to clients in non-technical terms; conduct field-based video production which involves interacting with clients and operating all portable video and audio equipment; transport and set up lighting and audio equipment as required; participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas; provide limited troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment; assist in tracking production expenses.
    • Post-Production tasks include reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, video transcoding, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing; utilize computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts; design and animate 2D and 3D motion graphics; compress video projects for output; capture recorded video using software and encode media appropriately.
    • Delivery of video content, includes taking the final product to market via digital channels as specified per project, including any necessary print promotion; leverage CCRC's existing local, state and national partnerships, collaborations and relationships to spread the message; provide upload technical assistance to clients makes video products available in a variety of formats including streaming media files.

Non-Essential Duties And Responsibilities

These duties include tasks that are required and comprise less than 5% of daily functions for this job:

  • Actively participates in internal and external agency event production to include staff and community events and meetings, family play days, conferences, and others as required.
  • Builds relationships with CCRC leadership and staff to develop continuous content for internal and external branding and communication.

Job Specifications

Minimum Required

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts, Graphic Design or related field or any combination of education and experience which would enable the candidate to successful perform the functions of the position.
  • Experience: At least two (2) years' relevant production experience or five years' equivalent experience in a related field required with strong video filming, editing and animation/motion graphics experience (this can be internships), demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio required, and intermediate level graphic design skills.
  • Professional/Technical Certifications: n/a
  • Technical Requirements:
    • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Final Cut Pro, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop, Light room, Animate and other graphic design software applications.
  • Bilingual Required: n/a
  • Behavioral:
    • Strong understanding of layout, timing and typography in digital and print media. Demonstrated skills in storytelling through various multimedia platforms.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment with shifting priorities; superb organizational skills; self-motivated team player who takes direction well.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail and strong proofreading capabilities.
  • Travel: Automobile, current auto insurance, current California Driver's License and DMV clearance required. Some travel within CA required.
  • Work Schedule: Full time, typical work hours and shifts are M-F, but must have the ability to work non-traditional work schedules, which may include evenings and Saturdays.

All minimum requirements above met, plus:

  • Professional/Technical Certifications: Graphic design or equivalent technical certificate
  • Bilingual preferred. Ability to converse, write and/or translate in English and Spanish
