Position Summary The Director - Business Information Solutions will facilitate organizational data strategies for governance, design, implementation, integration and usage. This role will also be responsible for building and managing a team who will work closely with finance, supply chain, marketing, sales, store support and other aspects of business to understand the business framework and build business intelligence models, dashboards and reports. This role will provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility, including business and IT project prioritizations and budget development. Duties & Responsibilities
- Build data driven program strategies across the organization working with IT and business counterparts
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all performance-based metrics and reporting by performing detailed data exploration and validation to identify trends, tendencies and anomalies.
- Oversee and implement data engineering strategies and pipelines in support of various initiatives across the organization. Elucidate and streamline reporting and dashboard requirements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and interpret business needs and respond with BI solutions. Shape and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead end-to-end project delivery teams aimed at identifying, analyzing, developing and implementing business intelligence metrics.
- Gain a deep understanding of the underlying department strategies and value drivers through working closely with business leaders.
- Conduct ad hoc business reporting and analysis as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations to the Executive Leadership Team, the Board of Directors, and department leads.
- Develop, measure, and report on Key Performance Indicators for major company initiatives and departments
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in a senior BI role, with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of BI tools, data warehousing, and data visualization platforms (such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, etc.).
- Proven ability to audit outcomes and structure processes to ensure data accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and communicating complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
