Description Acara Solutions is looking to hire a results driven Manufacturing Engineer to provide design engineering expertise to bring mechanical product development projects from concept to manufacturing reality as well as value engineering of the existing products. This is a contract position. Duration: Temporary for 5-8 months with potential to convert to a full-time role Salary: 45-60/hr, DOE. Location: On-site in Burbank CA Job Overview: The position will provide design engineering expertise to bring mechanical product development projects from concept to manufacturing reality as well as value engineering of the existing products. Responsibilities: Lead and manage assigned projects. Coordinates external and internal resources as needed. Create / improve product design data as required (3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Material, etc.) Verifies designs through calculation / analysis / computer aided modeling methods Develops test plans, and directs or executes testing activities (as needed) Responsible for multiple projects with varying scope and/or complexity Responsible for reporting and measuring progress on assigned projects. Previous experience must lie in Industrial / Commercial Product Manufacturing as an engineer developing, releasing, and improving products. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 4+ years of practical experience. Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Demonstrates ability to apply research to the planning, design, development and testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems. Proficiency in 3D Modeling and drafting. Inventor experience preferred. Excellent visualization & conceptualization skills Must be able to develop relevant experiment designs, analyze data, form appropriate conclusions, and create appropriate models needed for system simulation. Experience with pressure vessels, compressors, pumps, or valve design preferred.
