Responsibilities

As an intern in Human Resources, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of human resources processes and assisting with other related projects.

  • Assists with special projects across the organization's HR functions, including but not limited to benefits, compensation, employee relations, marketing communications, recruiting and onboarding, and organizational development.
  • Analyzes information, develops practical and creative solutions to problems, determines project conclusions and recommendations, and participates in the decision-making process, as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with team members to set goals and responsibilities, contribute ideas/opinions, and listen and respond to other team members' views.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of project status.
  • Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent and actively pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree with a concentration in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
