The Space and Intelligence Division provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASA. Our work includes systems engineering and integration, test planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority National Defense needs, and assessing and developing cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to meet those needs.

The Space Systems Group, part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, provides timely and objective assessments and recommendations integrating technical, operational, programmatic, policy, and business analysis. We focus on our key clients in the Space community including the US Space Force's Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC), one of the three designated Field Commands under USSF. We work tirelessly to provide integrated solutions based on information and communications throughout the chain of command. We provide clear and consistent analysis and recommendations which are aligned to strategic and leadership goals while balancing the ability to execute on time and on budget within the technical communities.

SPA has an immediate need for a Communications Analyst to support a U.S. Space Force customer.



Responsibilities

The duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

    Write and develop speeches, documents, and articles for the U.S. Space Force.
  • Assess, develop, evaluate, consolidate, track status of, and report metrics for responses that answer technical and programmatic inquiries, working closely with the appropriate Delta/Division representatives.
  • Research, draft, and edit articles, speeches, and testimony on the Directorate, organization, missions, operations, and initiatives.
  • Review, coordinate, and process program information suitable for public release to industry, media, trade publications, international partners, and other program stakeholders.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Master's degree or higher in English, Journalism, and/or Communications
  • 12+ years of experience related to professional writing, editing, or technical writing
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy
  • Proficient with MS Windows and MS Office applications and software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in supporting Federal Government acquisitions and/or contracts

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. California Pay Transparency Range: 120k - 180k.
