A Day In The Life The Manager - SAP Vehicle Operations is responsible for managing all activities related to the GST (Gulf States Toyota) SAP Vehicle Operations. This role will manage and support our SAP S/4HANA modules OTC, PTM, ME/Mii and CPQ supporting Vehicles operations. This role works closely with the SAP Application Managed Services (AMS) Partner and the GST SAP CoE Director to manage SAP application and solution supporting our Vehicle Distribution business and must understand our application roadmap and dependencies with other enterprise systems. The Manager- SAP Vehicle Operations must have 4+ years of experience in leading an SAP team or similar role. The person in this position has strong organizational savvy and successfully manages risks, issues, and work streams for COE team members supporting the vehicle operations. This role requires a manager who is not only adept at guiding and mentoring a diverse team of SAP professionals but also possesses strong hands-on skills in any of the SAP Supply Chain modules. As a Mgr, SAP Vehicle Ops you will:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the functional team, ensuring optimal performance and collaboration across all SAP tracks for OTC, PTP, VMS, PTM ME/Mii and CPQ.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and building expertise within the team.
- Hands-On SAP Expertise:
- Provide hands-on support when required and expertise in SAP modules, with a strong focus on either SCM or Manufacturing.
- Analyze business requirements, design functional solutions, and configure SAP modules supporting operations to meet organizational needs.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning and execution of SAP-related projects/ enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and manage project deliverables and resources.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other IT and business units to ensure seamless integration and operation of SAP systems with boundary applications.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users, translating technical capabilities into business solutions.
- System Maintenance and Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP environment to optimize performance and functionality.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of SAP modules used by vehicles operations.
- Problem-Solving:
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
- Support end-users by addressing functional and technical inquiries.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus or related discipline with 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 8 years SAP working experience in either support of project implementation experience in related SAP modules in FICO, SD, MM, PP, QM, PM, PS, VMS, Ariba or SuccessFactors.
- For project implementation role, you will need to have minimum one full lifecycle implementation of one or more of the following SAP modules: SD, MM, PP, PM, PS, VMS
- Has a track record of aligning large groups of diverse stakeholders on system support and maintenance plans, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of issue management and the systems development life cycle and project delivery life cycle.
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude of understanding complex business processes and functions.
- Ability to challenge, recommend and redirect teams as necessary for successful change and issue management and project delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership.
- Ability to work well on cross functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
- Ability to navigate significant business relationships and align where both parties achieve a win-win outcome.
- Experience in agile project management best practices and tooling.
- Experience in ITIL/ITSM software like Service Now
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA - knowledge in both processes and technical.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI Preferred
- CSM and/or CSPO Preferred
