Egan Company is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Electrical Solutions & Prefabrication Manager to champion innovation and drive excellence within our electrical division. This leadership role will focus on identifying and implementing solutions to boost productivity, enhance safety, ensure quality, and strengthen our competitive edge in the market, while leading and fostering cross-functional collaboration across the Engineering and VDC, Prefabrication, Process Innovation/Quality, and Procurement teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and vision for the Electrical Solutions & Prefabrication Group and be a champion of Egan's Mission, Vision, Purpose and Values.
- Collaborate with functional leaders and teams within the electrical division to streamline workflows between design, coordination, fabrication, and field installation.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the Electrical Solutions & Prefabrication group; facilitate cross-team collaboration among all functions within the group.
- Promote a strong and proactive safety culture and oversee the implementation of safety initiatives.
- Create and execute an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) that helps guide and establish priorities and manage budgets for Procurement, Engineering and VDC, Process Innovation/Quality, and Prefabrication teams.
- Set clear performance expectations for direct reports, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback and coaching for professional growth.
- Lead innovation support for estimating, scheduling, engineering, VDC, procurement, prefabrication, installation, QA/QC, and commissioning.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation and champion innovations in prefabrication methodologies, modular assemblies, and kitted solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in fabrication processes, Lean construction practices, and material waste reduction.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies relevant to electrical construction (e.g., BIM, smart tools, AI-powered analytics, etc.) and lead change management initiatives for adoption of new systems and technologies.
- Identify and remove pain points in construction workflows through innovation, automation, and data-driven tools.
- Ensure technology supports constructability, field readiness, and project cost control.
- Guide engineering, VDC, procurement, process Innovation, and field operations to pilot and deploy new solutions for jobsite productivity and decision-making.
- Identify high-impact opportunities for technology adoption, process optimization, and business model transformation.
- Drive the implementation of digital platforms and integrations (e.g., mobile apps, project tracking systems, prefab coordination tools, etc.).
- Foster a proactive, service-oriented culture.
- Drive standard operating procedures and KPIs.
- Partner with project teams and field supervisors to ensure the group meets job timelines, budget constraints, and installation requirements.
- Stay informed and keep up with industry trends, technology, and best practices.
- Maintain regular visibility and in-person interaction with both the Champlin and Kasson locations.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as requested/needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Innovation or equivalent experience. Master's degree is a plus and can be helpful in this dynamic role,
- 7+ years of experience in electrical construction with technology-driven roles.
Qualifications
- Proven track record leading digital transformation, R&D, or construction tech adoption.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, construction workflows, project lifecycles, digital construction tools and prefabrication methodologies.
- Strong leadership, project management, communication, strategic thinking, problem solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Engineering, BIM, prefab systems, construction software (e.g., ACC, Bluebeam, Procore, Revit, Trimble, etc.), and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with electrical commodities and procurement softwares (e.g., Remarcable, Kojo, Quoteplan, etc.). programming software (e.g., Appsheet, PowerBI, Lookerstudio, etc.) and programming interchanges (e.g., API, EDI, etc.).
- Familiarity with standard manufacturing processes/practices associated with prefabrication of electrical components.
- Proficient in construction ERP systems.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive organizational change.
- Must be able and willing to regularly travel to job sites and work from both the Champlin, MN and Kasson, MN locations each week.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions
- Performance of duties will mostly be in an office environment with visits to job sites and the prefabrication shop.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- When on jobsites, exposure to loud noise, dirt, and exposure to the elements; climbing ladders/stairs, walking on uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting.

Salary Range: $102,955 - $141,189 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus vehicle allowance and potential annual discretionary bonus.
