Job Summary The Medicare Advantage Respiratory Therapist Care Manager facilitates comprehensive respiratory care coordination for customers who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and/or Asthma diagnosis. By delivering quality-based healthcare services by means of identifying triggers and management of customers disease. Then setting short and long-term goals through advocacy, development, and implementation of individualized care.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Social Work or Psychology OR LVN, LPN with 1 year experience in managed care systems OR RN OR 3 years care coordination for a state managed or waiver program OR 3 years managed care systems experience.
  • Applicant is required to be a current Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience coordinating member medical related needs, providing assistance to members, and analyzing member needs
  • PC proficiency including Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer service and strong customer centricity skills
  • Verbal and written communications skills including developing written correspondence to members and to other department personnel and coaching skills, including motivational interviewing, to educate members on medical issues
  • Requires critical thinking, communication, decision-making, analytical, and strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Knowledge of current health care practices and appropriate treatments.
  • Knowledge of community resources.

  • This is a Telecommute (Remote) role: Must reside within 250 miles of the offices listed or anywhere within the posted states.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plansubject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.
