The Role

The Director, Product Management - Transplant & Hepatitis will lead concept development to launch of new test solutions as well as life cycle management of on-market offerings. The role will be a combination of individual contributor and people leader, with direct responsibility for Transplant solutions, which may include infectious diseases, matching (HLA or human leukocyte antigen), and rejection monitoring tests and accountability, via one direct report, for Hepatitis screening and care solutions.

The role will partner with commercial, customer solutions, operations, R&D, medical, training, marketing, IT, PMO, and finance to grow our transplant offering among transplant centers and physicians who manage patients before and after transplantation.

The position reports to the VP-GM of the IDI Clinical Segment and may be based from one of several Quest locations: Secaucus, NJ, Chantilly, VA, Lenexa, KS, Lewisburg, TX or San Juan Capistrano, CA.


  • Conduct market, competitive and customer research to identify needs and trends, including gathering input from downstream organization)
  • Support idea generation and contribute to identifying innovative, high value solutions
  • Define the target product profile and other solution requirements, including initial business case and strategic rationale
  • Work within cross functional team to use assigned resources to develop and deploy offering
  • Participates in launch team, to ensure pricing, coding, reporting, training, advertising/promotion, channel strategies and tactics are launch ready
  • Manage life cycle decisions for both existing and new offerings, through tracking offering performance against objectives, customer satisfaction.
  • Support development of clinical KOLs and patient advocacy group relationships, as needed
  • Owns all attributes related to the product - manage one source of truth
  • P&L responsibility for Transplant and Hepatitis product lines
  • Client sales presentations or onboarding meetings (Transplant)

  • Drive improvements with operations and quality to improve customer quality and experience
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing and/or Product Management; Advanced degree/ MBA preferred
