Work closely with each of the primary Sherwin-Williams business units including the Consumer Brands Group (CBG), The Americas Group (TAG) and the Performance Coatings Group (PCG) to develop resin product plans that support future coatings innovations given an ever evolving global regulatory environment. Responsible for translating these product plans into actionable deliverables, ensuring alignment between business functions and positioning each business as a performance leader in their respective categories. Support strategic/annual operating plan development, marketing and product development of the merchant team (external sales) with the support of two direct marketing reports. Development of a coordinated business, product and technology strategy for the global EPS business, including understanding customer and market segment needs (internal Sherwin-Williams and external merchant customers), assessment of fit and value, develop multi-generational product plans, financial targets and pricing strategies. Lead a global portfolio management process to identify and prioritize opportunities in line with product and business strategy, assist in SKU rationalization and value capture for the global EPS business. Coordinate regional marketing communications activities together with sales tools and channel specific marketing collateral. Build Marketing communication that strengthen the EPS brand & create external demand. Complete branding refresh & develop future advertising campaign. Manage the assessment and communication of competitive products, technologies and strategies. Identify M&A and external collaboration opportunities in line with global business strategy. Identify and execute the best marketing services to generate sales leads (updating marketing collateral documents, including TDS, brochures and standard presentations). Management of the Marketing team and coordinate with the R&D and Technical Sales teams. Support development of the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plans. Create and develop growth plans for the various EPS Segments, Internal & External Strategic Growth Focus. This position requires up to 30% domestic travel and 5% international travel. Role is hybrid allowing periodic work from home within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cleveland, OH office.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Chemical Engineering, Business, Technology, Global Management or related science field and ten (10) years of experience as a Process Engineer, Marketing & Proposals Engineers, Marketing Assistant Manager, Strategic Marketing Director or related role where required experience gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Also requires experience in the following:



  • Ten (10) years of proven product management experience in a major chemical company with an emphasis on innovation;
  • Financial acumen, strong problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Solid technical understanding of synthetic emulsion based resins and related technologies; and
  • Experience with businesses in Global markets.
