Who we are looking for
Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Market Access, AIR, US, the Lead, Payer Marketing and Strategy will develop and execute marketing and strategic initiatives to support launch and optimal coverage and patient access for Chiesi AIR products within the United States. A key responsibility will be working on upcoming commercial product launches for respiratory in the United States as well as US input into business development and pipeline activities.
Main Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Market Access leadership, develop & lead payer marketing strategies for US Market Access AIR to successfully launch the Chiesi AIR portfolio in the US.
- Development of payer value proposition, Pre-approval Information Exchange presentations, reimbursement materials, and training
- Partner with RWE, HEOR, Sales, Marketing, Medical, Patient Services, and Commercial to ensure alignment of payer strategy and messaging with Chiesi AIR commercialization strategy and plans.
- Work with National Account Directors to develop strategies to deliver access goals in conjunction with sales organization while continuously assessing performance metrics and adjusting strategies and plans to achieve results
- Provides payer-related context and insights such as US market trends, size and dynamics, product clinical profile, product differentiation, and competitive environment to define strategies, positioning, and plans to support broad access to Chiesi AIR products
- Partners collaboratively with global market access, US strategy and ops, brand marketing and cross functional teams to develop Market Access strategy and tactics to achieve payer access goals and net revenue aligned to the overall brand objectives
- Provides US perspective and input into global access strategy and planning, business development, and early pipeline activities
- Leads and manage agency and consultant projects and relationships
- Manages and maintains payer marketing budget and accruals process
- Understands and monitors U.S. payer policies and trends
- Consults and provides input into U.S. pricing and contracting strategies
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and regulatory guidelines governing commercial and scientific interactions with payers and other business partners
Experience Required
- Expert knowledge of current US payer environment and dynamics, including payers and their formulary and utilization management strategies.
- 5-7+ years progressive responsibility across key biopharmaceutical commercial functions such as marketing, commercial operations, market access and/or sales
- Understanding of pharmaceutical payer marketing that includes FDA regulatory and legal environment (PIE, FDAMA-114, IRA, LCM, etc.)
- Respiratory experience, preferred
- Launch experience, preferred
- Strong experience in payer marketing, sales, reimbursement and/or account management preferred
- Product launch experience preferred
- Strong insights and strategic ability to drive market access landscape understanding, insights, strategies, and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to lead without authority, influence, resolve conflict and drive decision making among cross functional stakeholders
- Proven ability to successfully manage complexity, including solving problems and building strong relationships
- Strong cross functional collaboration and project management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- This individual is also responsible for developing and adapting strategies for efficiently achieving objectives within US Market Access AIR.
