Job Title: Pathologist Assistant Location(s): Los Angeles, CA Job Overview: The Pathologist Assistant will work under the supervision of the Chief of Anatomic Pathology and/or the Director of Operations, Anatomic Pathology. Responsibilities include: Gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens Assisting in the performance of frozen sections Specimen photography and documentation Administrative support (e.g., maintaining protocols, reports, teaching, etc.) Required Qualifications: Certification: PA(ASCP) certified or eligible for certification and must pass within 12 months of hire Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Pathologist Assistant experience Education: Bachelor's degree in biological or health sciences Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program (see list below) Resume Must Include Answers to the Following: Do you have a bachelor's degree in a biological or health sciences field (e.g., biology, biomedical science, etc.)? Have you completed a Pathologists' Assistant educational program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)? What is the name of the Pathologists' Assistant program you completed?
