Description

This candidate will work closely with teachers, administration, the spiritual life director, and the admissions team. The applicant must have an understanding of child development and learning styles. He/She needs to be knowledgeable of counseling theories and group dynamics. The applicant must know how to utilize data to make informed decisions, be well organized, and have a heart for children.

Tasks:



  • Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the academic, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual development of all students
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders
  • Assist Admissions with the student application process and onboarding of new students
  • Conduct classroom lessons for social-emotional skills for all school grade levels that are rooted in our spiritual identity as a child of God and relevant to grade-level needs
  • Provide social-emotional support for students both individually and in group settings
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers for the development of individual behavior intervention plans, individual check-ins, and classroom management
  • Collaborate with and support parents in developing strategies and plans for necessary intervention
  • Coordinate and assist in administering SEED & Lower School assessments
  • Collect and assess quarterly social-emotional data to optimize individual growth

Qualifications
Education
Masters (preferred)
Bachelors (required)
Experience
3 years: School Counseling experience (required)
