Description

The Senior Vice President, Patient Services will lead and oversee patient-centric solutions and market access strategies within the organization. This executive role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, a strong strategic vision, and the ability to leverage relationships to achieve growth targets. The position is critical to successfully achieving growth strategy and therefore has considerable visibility across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Effectively lead teams, delivering and exceeding customer expectations on program obligations.
    • Recruit, develop, retain, and motivate high-performance, cross-functional teams.
    • Foster a collaborative culture inspired by models such as Simon Sinek's "The Long Game" and principles from "Dare to Lead."
  • Strategic Development and Execution:
    • Define and collaborate on the development of innovative patient support programs and market access strategies.
    • Align initiatives with broader organizational goals to ensure overall business growth and market leadership.
    • Drive revenue generation through innovative program offerings and optimizing pricing and service delivery models in coordination with senior leadership.
    • Identify and implement new and innovative ways to include the market access view proactively in the commercial value chain.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Implement best practices to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, FDA, and other relevant laws and industry standards.
    • Develop capabilities and processes to channel insights from different markets consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and develop relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders.
    • Develop and manage government affairs activities in select markets globally.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry dynamics, economic and reimbursement trends, and information on competitors/products.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Develop effective communication and information flow, translating real-world data to key internal constituencies.
    • Ensure that market access considerations are a core element of product strategy.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Consulting, Sales, Medical, Communications, Privacy, Compliance, and Legal, to drive alignment and ensure seamless execution of services.

Requirements:

  • Fifteen or more years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with strong career progression and a track record of success in leadership roles of increasing size, scope, and complexity.
  • Broad functional expertise in patient services and managed markets, with particular emphasis on payer strategy, pricing, and government affairs.
  • Commercial leadership experience and expertise in a broad range of therapeutic areas, markets, and channels.
  • Extensive knowledge of global healthcare systems, with particular emphasis on the US.
  • Superb leadership and exceptional management skills in recruiting, developing, retaining, and motivating high-performance teams.
  • Entrepreneurial experience with a bias for action to successfully manage multiple project deadlines in a hands-on manner within a fast-paced work environment.
  • An undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline is required; an MBA is strongly preferred.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $262,601 to $320,600. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
