In the role of Wildlife Technician, we'll count on you to:
Preferred Qualifications - One year of experience in bird identification, particularly with Eastern North American waterfowl and gull species. - Experience with small boat and 4WD vehicle operations - Candidate must have a minimum of an associate degree in applied science in Wildlife or a closely related discipline (environmental science, ecology, biology, etc.) or a comparable combination of education and experience. - Experience performing technical duties, such as sample collection and data recording. - Candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays. - Candidate must be able to withstand various field conditions (wet weather, heat, cold, etc.) and be able to hike to observation points, carrying requisite equipment and supplies. - This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with HDR's vehicle policy. - Candidate will be required to submit to NYC and Federal security background checks. - Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications
