POSITION TITLE: Generalist, Human Resources CLASSIFICATION: Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW: ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, Critical Infrastructure, and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide support within the Human Resources Department. The ADB HR Department supports over 1,200 team members Nationwide ensuring multi-state and federal compliance adherence, as well as a best-in-class employee experience at all times. This position will support a diverse group of team members within a construction environment that includes blue collar, professional services, and leadership teams ensuring a strong level of customer experience, integrity, and support is provided. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative technical skills, possess a high level of confidentiality and professionalism, be deadline and goal driven with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides functional support to the Human Resource department including pre-employment, onboarding, orientation, training and development, benefits, recognition, engagement, and off boarding
- Has full understanding of the HRIS and workflows within the database; performs system audits to ensure data integrity across modules with ability to identify failure points and implement corrections in real time
- Provides day-to-day HR support to all team members, serving as the main point-of-contact for complex employee inquiries and requests
- Supports companywide training initiatives by presenting in safety meetings and training team members and managers on items related to compliance, HR best practices and standards, etc.
- Manages the end-to-end leave process to ensure compliance with ADB policies and applicable state and federal leave laws; includes assembling leave packets, engaging in the interactive process, tracking leave time, and coordinating return to work
- Responsible for responding to and processing unemployment claims, employment verifications, and manages the exit process to ensure all compliance related items are processed in accordance with state and federal laws
- Supports new hire and internal promotion transition plans by managing the schedule, coordinating training, reporting on process, and escalating needs in real time
- Ability to present in a professional and engaging way to effectively train and educate team members
- Champions and executes on culture initiatives driven by the People department by participating in culture events and encouraging participation across the company
- Performs other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Corporate headquarters is located at: 18777 US Highway 66 Pacific, MO 63069
- This position operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment
- This position may be required to use standard office equipment such as phones, computers, printers, etc.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience required
- Previous experience within a construction environment strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree and/or HR Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
