Description

Acara Solution is looking for a MUOS Lab & Deployment Technician for Our client located in Scottsdale, AZ.

Here's what you'd do:

  • The MUOS Lab & Deployment Tech will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.
  • Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understands the necessary interfaces
  • Performs complex system-level troubleshooting to component level
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
  • Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems
  • Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems
  • Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understands the necessary interfaces
  • Will be needed to support Deployment activities at customer sites (CONUS and International)
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions
  • Identifies and helps prototype new preventative maintenance tasks
  • Will be expected to lead, direct, and organize Technician work
  • Works with associates in other departments and understands cross-functional relationships
  • May be needed to support the development of test specifications and procedures
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the use of computers and software applications to assist in job execution, with a special focus on Excel

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways
  • Understand the implications of their work and make recommendations for improvements
  • Ability to perform duties and tasks with minimal supervision required
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with internal and external team members including customers.
  • Mechanically inclined and able to maintain, repair, and install equipment that is part of a "live and operational" system
  • Capable of working remotely with limited local support

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
