Overview
The Human Resources Generalist provides broad support across key HR functions, with a focus on employee relations, onboarding, compliance, recruitment assistance, and employee engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will report directly to the Human Resources Manager. The role is hybrid, and the individual must be open to frequent travel.
Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted resource to employees and managers on topics such as performance management, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and involuntary separations.
- Support a structured offboarding process, including exit interviews, feedback analysis, and compliance with equipment return procedures.
- Handles employee relations matters in partnership with the Human Resources Manager.
- Assist with coordination of Affirmative Action documentation and reporting.
- Support the development, rollout, and compliance of HR policies and procedures in alignment with applicable laws and internal standards.
- Create and maintain employee files upon completion of the onboarding process.
- Manage the full I9 process, including timely completion, E-Verify compliance, regular audits, and staying current with changes in laws and regulations.
- Conduct monthly OIG/EPLS checks and coordinate annual license verifications with recruiting.
- Maintain and update internal HR platforms (e.g., HR SharePoint, Viva Engage) with relevant documents and resources.
- Coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs, including service awards and organization charts.
- Conduct monthly processing of HR invoices.
- Manage all unemployment hearings and inquiries, along with handling employment verification requests.
- Oversee labor law postings at all sites and ensure timely updates via poster vendor
- Maintains knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
- Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
- Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements
- Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards

Qualifications
- Two years or more of experience in employee relations or a similar HR role
- Education - Bachelor's degree and or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Human Resources certification a plus
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal relation skills
- Results oriented work ethic with a competitive drive to be the best
- Strong attention to detail in every situation
- Good reasoning, multi-tasking abilities and time management
- Maintains a professional, friendly manner at all times when dealing with employee-related issues
- Previous experience with ADP or other enterprise HRIS systems required
