Space Force MUOS RF System Engineer

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Secret clearance is preferred at the time of hire

As a Space Force MUOS Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) engineer in the Space, Cyber & Intelligence Systems business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing, testing and sustaining specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle. The system provides a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system. Not only do we maintain the current live system, but you will help add new capabilities, enhancements and replace end of life components.

  • Design, development, integration and test of radio frequency (RF) telecommunication systems
    • Satellite communication (SATCOM) principles and communication types
    • Compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
    • Link budgets and propagation models
    • Integrated telemetry, tracking and commanding (TT&C) hardware and software
    • Engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance
    • Use of RF test equipment to verify system performance
  • Experience with ground station Earth Terminal structures
    • Antenna control system design
    • Electro-mechanical systems

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and documenting system architectures, behavioral descriptions, and interfaces.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in defining and reviewing system requirements and requirement verification test plans
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Design, development, integration, and testing of radio frequency (RF) telecommunication systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Satellite communication (SATCOM) principles and communication types
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Link budgets and propagation models
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Integrated telemetry, tracking, and commanding (TT&C) hardware and software
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Use of RF test equipment to verify system performance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with ground station Earth Terminal structures
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Antenna control system design
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Electro-mechanical systems
