Clinical Research Coordinator I

The Massachusetts General Hospital Center of Excellence (COE) for Psychosocial and Systemic Research is hiring a clinical research coordinator (CRC) I to oversee the coordination and management of several research and quality improvement projects. The COE aims to improve the lives of people with mental health challenges through research, evaluation, and implementation of projects focused on physical, emotional, and social aspects of health.
In this position, the CRC I will work under the supervision of Principal Investigators (PIs; COE faculty and post-doctoral fellows) to assist with the preparation of study materials including Institutional Review Board materials, participant recruitment materials, instruments, and REDCap databases. The CRC I will also conduct phone screens, schedule participants, assist with in-person and virtual, quantitative and qualitative data collection in community settings, and support participant remuneration. The CRC will also be trained to assist in data preparation and curation, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and systematic literature reviews. They will participate in the preparation and presentation of posters and manuscripts, and receive mentorship and professional development from PIs. They will be involved in collaborations with our Peer Consultants, who are persons with lived experience of mental health challenges.

As such, experience and/or interest in working with underrepresented groups is required. Experience with project management and/or quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis is preferred. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Collects & organizes data
*Maintains accurate and updated research data, regulatory binders, and study databases
*Implement QA/QC data checks
*Assists with study regulatory submissions and updates
*Assists with recruiting participants
*Conducts library and literature searches
*Assists with interviewing study subjects
*Administers and scores questionnaires
*Provides basic explanation of study and in some cases obtains informed consent from subjects
*Performs study procedures, which may include phlebotomy (training provided)
*Writes consent forms
*Verifies subject inclusion/exclusion criteria
*Performs administrative support duties as required
*Actively participates in study/project meetings
*Attends weekly supervision with PI(s)

Bachelor's Degree required

Experience
Some relevant research project work 0-1 year preferred
