Registered Nurse - Emergency Department The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to individuals and groups. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. All care is provided based on a patient- and family-centered model that promotes continuous partnership between patients, families, and healthcare providers. The care is culturally sensitive and age-specific. The RN adheres to the American Nursing Association (ANA) Code of Ethics and operates within the scope defined by the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. Unit Description
The Emergency Department is a 33-bed unit specializing in adult cardiac care and complex internal medicine. It is staffed entirely by registered nurses and supported by experienced emergency care providers, including board-certified emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, physician assistants, and social workers. The department serves a high-acuity patient population in a fast-paced environment that requires strong critical thinking skills. Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years of adult emergency department experience
Ability to provide age- and culturally appropriate patient care and education
Effective communication with peers and interdisciplinary teams
