Physical Therapist - Training HAUS - Twin Cities Orthopedics

Description

Evaluate and treat a wide variety of outpatient conditions effectively and efficiently in a professional manner.

This is a full-time position working variable hours out of our Training HAUS location in Eagan.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.


Essential Functions:

  • Routinely evaluate and treat outpatient conditions under physician's order
  • Collaborate with physicians, managers and staff across the organization
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on clinic needs including but not limited to variable shifts, multiple clinic locations and hours that are not set on a week-to-week basis
  • Effectively choose and apply wide variety of therapeutic exercises, modalities, manual therapy, and other treatments in accordance with Minnesota State Practice Act
  • Maintain safe environment for self, staff and patients
  • Apply lawful and ethical use of therapy services in daily treatments
  • Direct supervision of a Physical or Occupational Therapist Assistant (PTA/COTA) may be required
  • Collaborative work and treatment with Biomechanist and Athletic Training required
  • Collaborative work with allied health professionals within Training HAUS required
  • Participate in continuing education routinely in order to maintain state license
  • Occasionally evaluate and treat outpatient conditions under direct access
  • Communicate with coworkers and patients in professional manner
  • Perform verbal and written communication with physicians and staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic setting
  • Routinely participate and share knowledge obtained from continuing education courses with staff and the community at the direction of the department or organization
  • Occasionally participate in community functions relating to the outreach at TCO events throughout the year
  • Any and all other duties as assigned


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Master's/Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Active Minnesota state license
  • Advanced Credentialing Required (SCS, OCS Preferred)
  • CSCS Preferred
  • History of working with high level athletes

Ability to:



  • Work in the clinic or office during business hours which may include night and weekends.
  • Travel independently throughout the clinic/office (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
  • Potential occasional travel outside of the clinic setting for meetings, continuing education and caring for patients
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Converse in a professional and respectful manner
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions
  • Effectively operate clinic and office (e.g., PC. Electronic Medical Record) equipment; and communicate on and operate the phone system
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel to other work locations, if required
  • Adhere to HIPAA requirements
  • Comply with all TCO policies, procedures and complete job required training
