Maintenance Technician

Location: Decatur Village - Philipsburg, Pennsylvania
Position: Maintenance Technician
Schedule: 30 hours per week with full-time benefits
Units: 43-unit senior housing community
On-Call Requirement: This position does require being on call 24/7 for maintenance emergencies, including evenings and weekends.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep and safety of our 43-unit senior housing community. The ideal candidate will have broad maintenance knowledge, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs across the property.

• Troubleshoot and address issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Complete general cleaning and upkeep of common areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, entrances, and exterior walkways.

• Clean up after maintenance tasks, ensuring safe and tidy work areas.

• Perform minor painting, drywall patching, and touch-ups as needed.

• Assist with seasonal property tasks such as snow removal or landscaping upkeep.

• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and emergency calls.

• Document all work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.

• Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety procedures, and company standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required, vocational or technical training a plus.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in property or building maintenance (senior housing preferred).

• Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

• Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a variety of indoor/outdoor conditions.

• Valid driver's license required.

Work Environment:

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to heat, cold, and other environmental conditions is expected.
