Location: Decatur Village - Philipsburg, Pennsylvania Position: Maintenance Technician Schedule: 30 hours per week with full-time benefits Units: 43-unit senior housing community On-Call Requirement: This position does require being on call 24/7 for maintenance emergencies, including evenings and weekends. Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep and safety of our 43-unit senior housing community. The ideal candidate will have broad maintenance knowledge, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for our residents. Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs across the property. Troubleshoot and address issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Complete general cleaning and upkeep of common areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, entrances, and exterior walkways. Clean up after maintenance tasks, ensuring safe and tidy work areas. Perform minor painting, drywall patching, and touch-ups as needed. Assist with seasonal property tasks such as snow removal or landscaping upkeep. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and emergency calls. Document all work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records. Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety procedures, and company standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required, vocational or technical training a plus. Minimum of 2 years' experience in property or building maintenance (senior housing preferred). Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a variety of indoor/outdoor conditions. Valid driver's license required.
Work Environment: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to heat, cold, and other environmental conditions is expected. Benefits:
