DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for entering data into a specified format to comply with the data quality standards established by guidance, training, and policies across all of DEP's electronic data systems. This includes ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data entries and utilizing system-specific tools when available to minimize duplicate entries and address data quality concerns.
This position is specializes in environmental and public health protection, supporting the Bureau of Safe Drinking Water. You will engage in administrative and technical review tasks related to certification services for the State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators. Additionally, you will provide guidance to operators of drinking water and wastewater systems, undertaking a variety of activities while demonstrating sound judgment and initiative. Your work will be prioritized according to time constraints, evolving certification program needs, legislative or regulatory changes, and federal workplan updates, with projects assigned with limited procedural guidance and evaluated for quality and compliance with job standards.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,890.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information, or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
Other Requirements:
