*Description*
Responsibilities: * Installation and maintenance of Fiber Optics networks. * Install, repair and resolve fiber optic systems and ensure that they work properly * Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas * Splice and Terminate Ribbon/SM/MM fiber. * Perform basic to complex installation, troubleshooting & repair of fiber systems under minimal supervision * Access the fiber optic splice enclosure and splice the necessary fibers directly from a bucket truck * Perform fiber tests: OTDR, power meter/laser source, and scopes. * Prep, tray, and splice fiber optic cable ranging from single fiber to large counts as well as perform ring cuts when needed * Install demarcation enclosures, switches and other telecom equipment * Fiber optic test and troubleshooting abilities *Skills* Fiber optic, Fiber optic cable, Splicing, Fiber splicing *Top Skills Details* Fiber optic,Fiber optic cable,Splicing,Fiber splicing *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Desired: * Recent Fiber Installation - Pulling/Terminating fiber cabling. * Fusion splicing/terminations (ribbon fiber and loose tube fiber) * FOA Certification is a plus * General knowledge of OTDR and Light Source and Power Meters * Familiar with splice drawings and OTDR test sheets and reading traces * Cable prep/single and mass fusion splicing and termination abilities * Fiber optic test and troubleshooting abilities *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
