Summary
Responsible for collaboration with healthcare teams to monitor, assess, and improve patient care quality and compliance with relevant regulations. The Nursing Quality and Patient Safety Fellow also participates in audits, develops quality improvement initiatives, and supports the hospital's commitment to providing safe and effective patient care. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and monitor the quality of patient care. -Conduct regular audits and reviews of clinical processes to ensure compliance with established standards. -Stay informed about relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices. -Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as those from Joint Commission, CMS, and other accrediting bodies. -Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives. -Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement in patient care and operational processes. -Review and assess clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements. -Provide feedback and education to healthcare providers on documentation best practices.
