DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Stock Clerk with the Department of Corrections, your role will involve managing the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control of various stock items and supplies at SCI Forest. You will take charge of inventorying stock, as well as receiving, storing, and issuing essential supplies and raw materials. A key aspect of your position will be training and supervising inmate workers in these processes, ensuring that all activities related to the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control are conducted efficiently and accurately. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing routine reports to track inventory levels and operational efficiency. Your duties will also include operating motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to transport oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, and facilitate deliveries, all of which are crucial for maintaining a well-organized supply chain within the facility. - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
