CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.

A Brief Overview
Porter/Housekeeper Supervisor works directly with the management team and is responsible for leading the Porter and Housekeeper employees cleaning the buildings and grounds to ensure the facility is clean and sanitized in accordance with CGL policies and procedures to support the achievement of property business goals and objectives. The Supervisor will perform and assist with the staff with cleaning and light maintenance in designated areas, and review, inspect, and where appropriate, direct the work of custodial vendors.

What you will do



  • provide applicable training and direction to the Porter and Housekeeping staff to ensure comprehensive cleaning, trash pickup of the property buildings and grounds as outlined by CGL guidelines and property procedures.
  • Manage inventory of all necessary supplies related to department and any supply inventory designated by Facility Manager.
  • Assist Facility Manager with the Porter and Housekeeping staff including coordination of schedules and on-call duties.
  • Monitor building, units, common areas, and grounds for cleanliness, safety, staff compliance to rules/regulations.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly reporting due to the Facility Manager.
  • Train Porter and Housekeeper employees on proper cleaning and turn procedures.
  • Assist in periodic staff meetings with the Porter and Housekeeping employees.
  • Vacuum carpet areas including resident rooms, hallways, and common areas if necessary.
  • Mop and clean tile areas including resident rooms and common areas if necessary.
  • Empty trash in designated areas if necessary.
  • Clean bathrooms including tub, shower, and toilet areas if necessary.
  • Work in common areas such as the lobby or offices as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Attend all mandatory employee meetings
  • Report any observed violations of property rules and regulations to the Maintenance

  • Report any needed repairs to maintenance.
  • The core of CGL culture involves everyone being fully invested in everything that we do down to picking up the smallest piece of trash. No matter their position or duration at any given property, everyone picks up trash.
  • Will supervise a team of housekeepers
  • Will monitor buildings for cleanliness and safety
  • Be available to support in after-hours maintenance emergencies when necessary.
  • Perform light maintenance including but not limited to touch up painting, assembling furniture, installing simple hardware and plunging plumbing.
  • Inspect, review and where appropriate direct the work of custodial vendors.


Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • A minimum of three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent. Required
  • Supervisory experience. Required
  • Understand and follow rules for the handling and use of any chemicals
  • Skilled in Organization
  • Skilled in Time management
  • Skilled in Customer service
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions/directions.
  • Ability to use small hand tools
  • DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State License - Every employee must have a current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy. Required
