DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Business Analyst 3, you will utilize your advanced skills in SQL queries, Crystal Reports, and Power BI while providing technical support to end-users. You will have the opportunity to offer help desk assistance for hardware and software issues such as printer problems, desktop issues, and other technology-related problems. A strong understanding of networking, server-side infrastructure, and business processes will be essential in this role. Work involves supporting, mentoring, and guiding other analysts; fostering effective collaboration; and ensuring timely resolution of issues. This positions will require you to make decisions related to system functionality, report generation, and troubleshooting, based on available data and expertise. Complex technical issues may require consultation with management or IT infrastructure teams. Routine issues related to user support, database queries, and report generation will be managed independently.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Business Analyst 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six years of business process analysis experience; or
  • Two years of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
